The Egypt Space Agency (EgSA) and the National Water Research Centre (NWRC) are exploring joint initiatives to advance Egypt’s water resource management.
In a recent meeting, EgSA CEO Prof. Sherif Sedky and NWRC Head Prof. Sherif Mohamady discussed ways to integrate satellite data analysis with hydrological modelling and water resource expertise.
The partnership aims to apply satellite imagery for studies on water management, climate change, desertification, sediment dynamics, and soil and land cover assessment.
Prof. Sedky reaffirmed EgSA’s commitment to leveraging space technology for sustainable development, highlighting this collaboration as a key move to address national water security priorities.
