Egypt’s agricultural exports have reached a record 6.757 million tons from January 1 to October 2, 2024, as announced by Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Farouk. This marks an increase of 617,000 tons and over $932 million in value compared to the same period last year, bringing total export revenue to nearly $3.952 billion.
Key export products include citrus fruits, potatoes, onions, grapes, beans, and mangoes, along with sweet potatoes, tomatoes, garlic, strawberries, guava, and pomegranates.
Egypt is witnessing a rising demand for its high-quality agricultural products, with exports reaching over 160 global markets, including major destinations in Europe, the Americas, China, Japan, and across the Arab and African regions. With more than 350 agricultural goods in its export portfolio, the sector remains a vital contributor to the country’s economic growth.
