Oman has unveiled a Golden Residency Program aimed at drawing investors and entrepreneurs, part of the Sultanate’s push to diversify its economy and enhance its investment climate under Vision 2040.
The initiative, introduced by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, grants long-term residency to eligible applicants and is designed to position Oman as a more competitive investment hub. The launch was announced at the Sustainable Business Environment forum in Salalah, held under the patronage of Dhofar Governor Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said.
Alongside the residency program, the government also rolled out the Mujeedah Companies initiative, which highlights outstanding Omani firms, and a new digital service that enables commercial registration transfers through the Invest Oman platform.
The Golden Residency is a cornerstone of Oman’s wider economic transformation, supporting foreign direct investment and easing dependence on oil revenues. Applications and program details are now accessible via the Invest Oman platform.
