Ifpinfo had the following interview with Ghassan Choucair, Chairman of the company.

Founded in 1967 by Ghassan Choucair, the project started off as a Marble and Terrazzo factory and has eventually grown to become one of the leading groups in the local and regional markets. Building on their father’s legacy and vision, the founder’s sons, George and Simon Choucair expanded the company’s scope of work.
Through their hard work, dedication, and unmitigated determination Choucair Group attained a wide recognition in the MENA region. Today, Choucair group delivers an exclusive supply of granite, ceramics, and quartz to the Gulf countries as well as the Middle East and Africa region.
With factories located in Mkalles, Sin El Fil, and Nehme, we provide architects, contractors, developers, and consultants, as well as wholesale, retail and medium to high-end clients with a complete set of solutions that perfectly cater to their needs. Moreover, in order to draw closer to our expanding client base and showcase our designs, we have opened a showroom stretching an area of 3600 sqm in Sin El Fil Horch tabet, 210 Center , supported by 7000 sqm warehouses. We adopt a client-oriented approach in aim to ensure our clients’ satisfaction attending carefully to their aesthetic and practical needs at the same time.

3) Your insights regarding Lebanon’s construction and energy markets?
The critical Economical situation is influencing all the sectors of the Lebanese Economy including the construction and energy markets. Despite facing political and economic pressures, the construction and real estate industries in Lebanon remain the most attractive and promising sectors of the country’s resilient economy. Hoping that in the future this sector will become more promising.
4) Your history of participation in the show, how was your experience so far?
We have started exhibiting in Project Lebanon in 2010. The experience was fruitful so far allowing us to touch and feel the market needs and demand.
5) Products you will display at Project Lebanon/Energy Lebanon 2015?
Ceramic tiles, marble and sanitary ware.
6) Your expectations of the show?
We always hope that Project Lebanon is a boosting factor of the Lebanese construction sector. It has always been a great opportunity to introduce our vision, mission and novelties to the Lebanese market.
