Qatar’s Ministry of Municipality reported that the Building Permit Complex and municipal technical affairs departments issued 1,836 building permits in the second quarter of 2025. These included permits for new constructions, additions, modifications, and renewals.
The breakdown shows:
Small-scale projects: 1,414
Large-scale projects: 59
Other projects: 363
During the same period, the Ministry also issued 1,872 additional permits and certificates, comprising:
919 building completion certificates
340 maintenance permits
189 demolition permits
424 property information certificates
In terms of engineering approvals, a total of 91,887 plans were cleared in Q2 2025, including:
62,237 for building permits
25,522 for building completion certificates
2,513 for maintenance permits
1,310 for demolition permits
305 for property information certificates
