The Ministry of Tourism will offer in March package deals for visitors traveling from Egypt, Kuwait, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Iraq, and Armenia. The packages will be valid for three months.
“This is to encourage tourism during low season,” said Avedis Guidanian, Minister of Tourism.
The packages will be provided at $330-$450. It will include the cost of the ticket through Middle East Airlines, three-day accommodation in four star hotels, including breakfast, and airport transfers.
The campaign will be disseminated through social media and embassies.
Guidanian said that there are still some hurdles regarding visa approval for some countries. For instance, it takes Egyptians 40 days to obtain visa approval. Guidenian said that the Ministry is negotiating with General Security in order to change this.
