Incorporated in January 2011, Qatari Diar Construction Products Company Industries W.L.L (‘QD-CPC Industries W.L.L’) is a joint venture of four partner companies that have come together with one objective in mind; establishing a series of innovative, Qatar-based building materials manufacturing facilities which will become the “complete building solution” for their clients.
The partners, Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Co., Saudi Bin Laden Group Co. Ltd. (SBG), Construction Products Company International Co. (CPC-International), and The First Investor Co. Q.S.C.C. (TFI) have collaborated to build QD-CPC Industries W.L.L on a foundation of seamless relationships with clients and suppliers, hard work and dedication, and continuous innovation.
Through its skilled professionals and devoted team, QD-CPC objective is to continue to build strong long-lasting relationships with key customers and to leverage shareholder strengths, a process which is enhanced by its certification for the International Standards ISO 9001 Quality Management, ISO 14001 Environmental Management, and OHSAS 18001 Health and Safety Management.
IPFinfo had the following interview with Nidal Al-Otaibi, the CEO of QD-CPC.
1. What type of products and services are provided by the company?
Today, QD-CPC Industries W.L.L owns and manages the wholly owned operating building materials factories engaged in the related business segments. On an area of 200,000 square meters as an initial phase, QD-CPC Industries has its QD-CPC Industrial Complex located in Mesaieed Industrial Area. All our factories are certified for the International Standards ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management, 14001:2004 Environmental Management, and ISO 18001:2007 Health and Safety Management.
Premco Precast – Qatar
Occupying an approximate area of 78,000 square meters and recognized for the exceptional quality of its precast concrete products, Premco Precast – Qatar, a branch of Industries W.L.L., entered heavily the construction market in 2013 to serve mega and medium sized projects.
The state-of-the-art factory is a leading producer and supplier of an extensive range of precast products that are continuously enhanced and diversified to meet twenty-first century design demands. Today, Premco Precast – Qatar is a reliable supplier but not limited of:

United Arab Aluminum Company – Qatar (UAAC – Qatar)
UAAC – Qatar is a branch of QD-CPC Industries W.L.L. that manufactures and fabricates a wide range of both standardized and custom designed aluminum products to suit all building requirements. UAAC’s Aluminum works (Curtain Walls, Cladding, Doors & Windows, and Skylight) along with its uPVC works have formed an integral part of some of the biggest projects in the region, and the factory remains committed to continuously improving our performance and production quality operating on an approximate area of 25,000 square meters. UAAC – Qatar is capable of producing, delivering and installing full range of products covering all architectural building requirements, from small to mega-sized projects. All of our products conform to all the required regulation categories (ASTM, EUS, FS, DIN), and UAAC – Qatar employs skilled professionals in diverse areas, ranging from research and development to installation and maintenance, dedicated to meeting and exceeding the most demanding challenges our clients set for us. United Arab Glass Company – Qatar (UAGC – Qatar)
UAGC – Qatar specializes in the production of all types of glass (regular or shaped) and glass processing (tempering, laminating, doubling, bullet-proofing, etc.) and has formed an integral part of some of the biggest projects in the region. UAGC – Qatar remains committed to continuously improving its performance and production quality to meet any client specifications.
Through its skilled professionals, UAGC – Qatar is capable of manufacturing, processing, and delivering full range of glass products covering all architectural building requirements, from small to mega-sized projects through operations taking place on an approximate area of 24,000 square meters.

Premco Ready Mix – Qatar
Premco Ready Mix – Qatar is a premium supplier of ready-mix concrete. Established in 2012, the two Batching Plants factory utilizes cutting-edge equipment and computers to produce and test concrete on an approximate area of 30,000 square meters, ensuring that its products fit the specific requirements of each and every client. Premco Ready Mix – Qatar produces different types and grades of high quality concrete .Top of the line facilities including transit mixers, mobile pumps, cement bulkers, and several specialized laboratories are manned by qualified technicians who enable Premco Ready Mix – Qatar to achieve its goal of excellent customer service.
National Asphalt Factory – Qatar (NAF – Qatar)
A branch of QD-CPC Industries W.L.L., the National Asphalt Factory (NAF – Qatar) started supplying hot mix asphalt services in 2012. The state-of-the-art Asphalt Plant NAF – Qatar is guided by the motive to deliver the best pavement products quality in a timely manner on an approximate area of 20,000 square meters. The factory adheres to international Quality Control Systems, and through its qualified technicians produces tailor-made pavement products, and ensures excellent customer satisfaction.
2. What can you say about the mission and the vision of the company?

Our mission is to establish a one-stop-shop integrated building materials manufacturing company in Qatar, which will capitalize on the growth opportunities emerging in the Qatari Real Estate Development and Construction sector. Ultimately, we aim to build customer loyalty and gain market preference achieving the status of a key player in Qatar’s building materials industry over the next five years.
3. A young but already well-established and successful company, what are the reasons of your success in a very short time?
In fact, we are not young in Qatar anymore since the establishment started in 2011; however, in a very short period of time, we have gain many medium to large projects in Qatar to supply and serve. It is just about how to let your customers feel comfortable relying on you providing them the best. In addition, the “know-how” since 1982 has been transferred from CPC Holding (Construction Products Company – KSA) to us in Qatar along with the factories’ very-well-known brand names in the region; namely PREMCO PRECAST, PREMCO READYMIX, United Arab Aluminum Company, and SACODECO for WOOD & INTERIOR FINISHES.
4. Do you only cater for the Qatari construction market? Do you have expansion plans?
The local Qatari market is obviously the key market targeted by QDCPC. However, and as the opportunities may arise, neighboring countries represent also an excellent opportunity for QDCPC "exportable" products and services. QDCPC intends to actively target such export markets.
Yes, we do have expansion plans; but these are still under study.
5. What can you say about the Qatari construction market? How do you see its progress towards 2022, the World Cup deadline and the Qatar Vision 2030?
Construction growth in Qatar is mainly driven by the National Vision 2030 and the hosting of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, through which the construction industry is expecting substantial growth, primarily by an increase in construction activities in terms of infrastructure and real estate.
Hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup is undoubtedly the single biggest construction-related event in Qatar, boosted by major infrastructure projects such as Lusail and Musheireb, as well as new roads and highways, and the expansion of the Hamad International Airport and the new metro in Doha.
To answer your question about the World Cup deadline, Qatar is much smarter than to miss it.
6. Is this your first time participating in Project Qatar, if not what can you say about this biggest construction show in the region?
We have participated in Project Qatar 2012 with our stand. At that time, we were in the establishment phase building our building material factories.
I believe Project Qatar has turned to a hub where regional and international industry professionals meet and emphasizing the necessity of latest products and services for a fast growing Qatari Construction Sector.
7. As a Silver Sponsor to Project Qatar, what new products will be showcased on your stand?
We have decided to be the silver sponsor of Project Qatar 2015 rather than only having a stand since this exhibition heavily supports the National Vision 2030 and hosting of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
8. Any message to the visitors of PQ 2015?
As mentioned before, Project Qatar is a hub where regional and international industry professionals meet; it turned to an important event that cannot be missed as a network with top enterprises from across the region.
