The Kurdistan Regional Government announced "Allocating more than IQD 700 millions ($628,000) for the establishment of Selafi resort in Amedi district of Dohuk province."
The Mayor of Amedi district, Hussein Khalid, reported in press statement "The Kurdistan Regional Government announced allocation IQD 727,270,000 for the implementation of Selafi Resort project within the interest of the Government in tourism sector in KR.''
"The implementation of the resort's project was started in 2012 and it is scheduled to be accomplished within 360 days,'' he added.
