Newly released aerial photos have captured the vast scope of the “Jewel of Baghdad,” a landmark mixed-use development exceeding $1 billion in value and set to become Iraq’s largest destination for tourism, entertainment, and residential living.
Situated in the Al-Dura district near the Two-Story Bridge, the project is divided into three main components. The first is the Iraq Mall, an enormous retail and entertainment complex now approaching completion and expected to open soon. Next will come a hotel resort, with its structure already finalized, followed by a residential zone comprising 13 towers rising 31 stories each.
The development’s scale is remarkable: a 600,000 square meter shopping center housing 600 shops and 125 restaurants and cafés, a 40,000 square meter interactive dancing fountain, an expansive indoor amusement park, and a 14-screen cinema, all supported by parking space for 7,000 vehicles.
The Jewel of Baghdad is set to redefine the Al-Dura area, establishing a dynamic new center for commerce, leisure, and modern living in the Iraqi capital.
