Dubai-based developer Nakheel said it has awarded five contracts worth Dh465 million ($127.5 million) to various contractors.
The contract for villas in Jumeirah Park worth Dh300 million was awarded to ACTCO General Contracting Co.
Another contract valued at Dh51 million was awarded to Al Marwan General Contracting for enhancement of the infrastructure works for Jumeirah Park and Al Furjan master communities.
Nakheel also awarded the contract for the expansion of Ibn Battuta Mall to Parkway International Contracting. The contract is worth Dh92 million.
A new recreational facility is being added at the Jebel Ali Recreation Club to cater to the communities within the vicinity. The new facility is to be built at a cost of Dh20 million and the contract was awarded to New Valley Building Contracting.
Mott Macdonald Limited was awarded a contract for Dh5 million to carry out certain consultancy services on the Palm Jumeirah development.
