Held under the theme “A New Era of Opportunities,” the Project Lebanon 2025 Conference concluded its four-day run on May 9 at the Seaside Arena, Beirut, successfully bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, and sustainability experts to shape the future of construction and development in Lebanon and the region.
The conference was officially inaugurated by Mr. Albert Aoun, Chairman of IFP Group, who welcomed participants and set the tone for an event dedicated to innovation, resilience, and recovery. This was followed by a keynote address by H.E. Joe Issa Al-Khoury, Minister of Industry, who underlined the urgent need to shift national discourse toward rebuilding and hope.
“It is time to get rid of the culture of death and war and teach our children the culture of life and reconstruction,” he said. “It is noble to die for one’s country, but it is far more meaningful to live for it — to contribute to its development and to put an end to the emigration of our youth.”

Also delivering a keynote speech, H.E. Kamal Shehadeh, Minister of Displaced Affairs and Minister of State for Technology and Artificial Intelligence, hailed the conference’s return to Beirut after a years-long hiatus, calling it proof of Lebanon’s resilience and capacity to rise again. He emphasized the central role of technology, innovation, and private sector engagement in steering Lebanon toward a modern, knowledge-based economy.
“To those who say, ‘You cannot build a country,’ the answer must be: ‘We are doing exactly that — building a stable, law-abiding, and thriving nation,’” he declared.
