Iraq's Ministry of Electricity has signed a contract with Siemens worth $160 million for the rehabilitation of the Baiji electrical station in the country's north.
"The contract includes maintenance and processing equipment for four gas units in Baiji gas station for a period of four years, subjected to extension as well as training engineering and technical staffs," the ministry's spokesman Musab al Mudares said.
Mudares said that 'the country's national electricity system has achieved a steady progress and the country's production capacity has exceeded 11000MW'.
